Toughened glass will usually shatter into small fragments instead of sharp shards when broken, making it less likely to cause severe injury and deep lacerations. This is particularly useful for certain frames such as cat flaps, glass doors and tables.

Our Harrow On The Hill toughened glass normally takes three to five working days to order in for both single and double-glazed options. Heat-rejection film is film is a film applied to the interior of the glass, and is specifically designed to reflect most infrared, ultraviolet and visible light, and should be coupled with a low-emissivity coating applied to the exterior of the glass.

Privacy film can create a one-way mirror, depending on light conditions. Mirrored glass, if correctly applied, can create a mirrored effect on one side of the glass permanently, regardless of light levels on either side.

Safety film (Also called Security film"), is designed to prevent the glass shattering under impact stresses, and to safely contain the glass if shattering does occur. This is sometimes used on glass that has already shattered, to provide some integrity while replacement glass is sought.
